Announcement

Not a real post unfortunatley. Just saying I won't be able to play for a few days, it being New Year's Eve and all, and the next few days some big things are happening... also my brother took my Wii for personal reasons (his girlfriend wanted to play Mario Kart).

Anyway, I'mma be absent for a while but it doesn't mean I'm dead. Or in a coma. Or sick of you guys. It just means I have a life outside this game (however little said life is).

Also, if anyone cares, I set up a Twitter account for use in other 'announcements' such as this, so I don't have to make a post about it. Followers or mentions, twitter @TriforceQuest.

Bye, now.

Digdogger Hates Certain Kinds of Sound... also, Dungeon 5 Hurts

Good news, guys! My ATAR results were posted! My first choice university course requires a 70 or higher, I scored 83.5! I'M ELIGIBLE FOR UNIVERSITY! Now I just have to wait for them to come to me. That sucks, but that's how it works.

My days have been super-boring so far, I'm finding myself wanting to do less and less but still wanting to do SOMETHING. I think I've been literally too bored to do anything. BUT NOW, ZELDA TIME.

(I haven't actually had a picture of the title screen yet, so here's one)

I used the Warps to get to Dungeon 5 easily (I would have detoured to a Fairy Fountain, but one of the enemies I killed on the way gave me a Fairy and some other gave me some hearts, so I'm almost full already!). I *try* killing all the rabbits in the east room, and succeed, but now I've only got 2.5 hearts left. The room gave me a key, though, so north we go.

Great. Now there'r fucking MUMMIES crawling around. And it's dark. I'MMA BURN THE MUMMY WHO LOOKS LIKE HE'S HOLDING A KEY! Done, but it only damaged him. Pity. Meh, I sword the fucker and get his key, screw the rest, I'm going east. It's an old man room! He tells me "DIGDOGGER HATES CERTAIN KINDS OF SOUND." That'll be the boss, no doubt. But sound? The only things I have that makes sound are some Bombs. That's for later to solve.

Meanwhile, that room is a dead end, so I have to go back and kill the mummies to open the north door. OMFG THE NEXT ROOM HAS 3 DODONGOS! WHAT DO I DO!? ONLY 2 BOMBS LEFT!? I can only kill one! ... AND A DIFFERENT ONE ATE THE SECOND! I'm out of bombs! RUN! TO THE EAST ROOM!

It's full of Splitting Slimes, thank god. They give me some money, and now I go north. More mummies. THANK FUCK one gave me a clock! The others die pretty fucking easily (but still with 4 slashes, I need that other sword!), and the room gives me another key. I think I'll go through the west door.

There's the Map! But it's not accessible from this door. I have to backtrack if I want it. Back to the Dodongo room, I unlock the North door without getting hit. Huzzah! Map for me!

I rename this dungeon... um... what would you guys call this?

One second, Google is calling... Wow, okay, apparently it's supposed to be a lizard. Hehe, that's SO not a lizard. Meh, I deem this place Lizard Dungeon. Now onwards. Wait, shit, not onwards, I have to go back to the damn Dodongo room! WITH NO BOMBS! I have to settle for good old-fashioned sword fighting. WITH A DINOSAUR.

Scratch that, they can't be attacked with the sword. I need 6 bombs total to kill these bitches. Fuck. I tried leaving the dungeon to go buy some... and get killed soon after. BACK TO THE START. But that's okay, there are some nearby shops that DO sell bombs, so it's all good. East from Warp Zone 2 there's a shop, and I can heal at the Fountain there, too.

And now to fight.

...

Dodongos are bitches. They've learnt to change direction when there's a bomb in the way. Sometimes. Luckily they're stunned by the smoke (Oh, I get it, old man!) and can be slashed. Fuck yeah! They all die AND give me health and more bombs! So now I've got full bombs AND my sword beam intact!

The room to the West has some slimes, giving me a key, and south of that is just a  dead end with Mummies, who die due to Sword Beam Epicness. But now here's an annoying part. The map shows another room to the west, but there's no door here. One of the mummies was holding a bomb... do I have to bomb the wall?

Yes! I do!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!

I'm scared... I'll try again, but I'm not expecting to do anything... FUCK! I killed two of them but they do like A WHOLE FUCKING HEART EACH! And they take about 4 FUCKING HITS to kill. I NEED THAT SWORD, THIS DUNGEON TAKES TOO MUCH HEALTH AND DOESN'T DIE QUICK ENOUGH!

I'm so tempted to look up a walkthrough to find these extra hearts, I really am, but I don't think it'd be right. I mean, I've looked up hints and stuff over the course of this game, but this is actually asking for the location of a secret item. It's just that little too... I can't think of the word. The point is, I'm not looking up the locations of the hearts, but I do gladly accept hints.

Hint, Hint. Y'hear that, readers? Eh? EH? A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat?

Well, I tried to get to the room again, but I need to kill the Dodongos again. BUT I RAN OUT OF BOMBS. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

This dungeon is annoying the HELL out of me. I'm taking a break for today. I GUESS IF ANYONE WANTS TO COMMENT ON MY PROGRESS OR, YOU KNOW, OFFER HINTS, I'M OPEN TO ANY FORMS OF COMMUNICATION SUCH AS THE COMMENT SECTION OF THE POST. WINK. WINK.

Dungeon 5 and the Blue Ring

Went out with friends yesterday, we tried to cool off at the local indoor pool. IT WAS FORTY FUCKING DEGREES yesterday! I think mankind has pissed of Satan and now he's punishing Australia for it. From what I hear from holidaying friends is that it's SNOWING in Germany and England! Lucky bastards.

So let's see, what are we doing today... Ah, yes. The Magical Sword that the Old Man is being stingy with. I looked it up (my curiosity bitch-slapped my common sense in the face) and I need to have 12 hearts before he forks it over. Well, shit. I need to beat 3 dungons or find 3 hearts (or some combination of the two) before I can get uber-sword. This means I need to know where to get the last 3 hearts. I know that there are 5 Hearts hidden across hyrule (not including the ones Bosses give), and I've found 2 of them. So those last 3 are going to be hard...

Okay, so they'll probably be in hidden rooms in walls or under bushes, I just don't know where. This is fricken' daunting, guys. The whole world of Hyrule and only 3 TILES in the whole thing are my targets. That's 3/22510 (22528 tiles minus the 9 dungeon entrances, minus the starting sword cave entrance minus the 2 hearts I've found and minus the 4 Warp entrances) tiles! And yes, I was THAT bored to figure it out!

So, hidden tiles. Anybody have any hints on how to find them? Y'know, I've asked for help several times before, but nobody ever gives any. I don't know why I keep asking. Whatever, I don't think I could find them anyway. But enough of that, I know where Dungeon 5 is and I'm going! There's a Warp Zone near the Starting Screen, a Fairy Fountain near Warp Zone 3 and the Dungeon is near Warp Zone 2. ONWARDS!

I did, however, have the urge to burn some bushes in the screen East of Starting, so I did a few. I remember looking up something about particular tree pattern and hidden rooms, so I followed a rule I remember - that if there are two bushes in the middle of a vertically symetrical column of trees, burn the lower one (I am of course paraphrasing, but that's what I remember). Sure enough, a hidden room is revealed! Inside... an old woman selling potions. Well that's okay, I guess. It's closer to the Start than any other potion store.

Back to the Warp situation. I get to the Warp and travel straight to Dungeon 5, entering after several screens of trekking. I suddenly realize I forgot to heal, so back I go to Warp to the Fairy Fountain and back again... but I'm trapped in the Mountain Singularity (I like that name, that's what it is now). I have to go West and (unfortunatly) die to get back without complications. Sad little animation and...

Back at the start, I go to the Warp AGAIN and this time, go to the Fairy Fountain. I also tested my Bush theory on some of the rocks in the Singularity, but no rooms (and now I've only got 3 bombs). And so, I enter Dungeon 5 and march forth to find the Compass, Map and Secret Item!

East and instantly filled with weird rabbits. They hit me for 2 HEARTS OF DAMAGE! I couldn't get out fast enough. I tried to kill them again but died pretty much instantly. Fuck. I'm done with this already, I need that Blue Ring. I need to protect myself from such hideous amounts of damage. I NEED 250 RUPEES! I'll just troll the Overworld for a while. I'm sure as hell not staying in this place.

I decided to search the Mountains first (as I was already there), focussing on Blue enemies (as they seem to dish out more money). I was, however, killed by a Tektite pretty fast. Anyway, maybe I'll search the Graveyard instead. I think those evil ghosts would give some money. I took the Warp to the Fairy Fountain and back to the Mountan Warp (the one near the Graveyard) to see if the Ghosts give any cash.

When I was there, however, I went North instead of West and discovered a really creepy-looking dungeon entrance with 2 tiles worth of doors (at least I THINK it was a Dungeon Entrance). Now I HAVE to look inside, see what it is. I killed the dragon protecting it first, though.

Well, whaddaya know? I found Dungeon 6! I'll mark that on a map and come back to it later, when I don't die when confronted with a rabbit.

So back to the Graveyard. I found a Ghost and hit a few graves to make more. Only problem is this: the spawned monsters don't die. I bombed them and nothing happened to them (although the ghost that was already there was damaged). I ran around and hit the ghost that was already there, and ALL OF THEM died! I only got 2 Rupies out of it, but this is excellent! I just need to spawn TONS of ghosts, kill the ringleader and EVERYBODY DIES! Giving me money!

This works in theory AND in practice, if only for one or two issues. 1, spawned monsters still damage like crazy. 2, it's easy to lose the ringleader in the crowd. This just happened and I nearly died, but I found the bitch and sliced it's balls off (and the balls of every other ghost on the screen).

After about 6 screens of this, I had gained roughly 32 Rupies and had 2 hearts left. I like it! South of the Graveyard was a big collection of Dragons which gave me lots and lots of money and now I can buy the Blue Ring and all of Hyrule I can even buy the Castle an- nah, I'm kidding, they killed me like *snaps fingers* that.

I went back, though. I repeated the pattern. Warp to Fairy Fountain. Warp to Graveyard. Spawn mass Ghosts. Kill ringleader. Repeat until all 6 screens done. Die. I just kept repeating that pattern for a while, however sometimes I died early. I did notice that one grave didn't create a ghost (like the one that leads to the Magic Sword that I can't get) but I died before I could check it out. Next time I tried, I investigated it BEFORE spawning ghosts. Pushing it from any side didn't do anything, so I tried bombing it. Nothing. Well, I'll solve it later.

I continued the pattern until I had 254 RUPIES! I COULD BUY THE RING! HALF DAMAGE FOR MEEEEEE!!! I ran from the Graveyard and made for Lake Hylia, dodging EVERYTHING I COULD... But I still died 2 SCREENS AWAY! Next attempt, and the Statues guarding the shop nearly killed me. With only one heart left, I enter the shop. Within it I find... THE BLUE RING! Yes, I SHALL buy that, sir!

HoorAAAAAAY! BLUE RING! And now I've got blue clothes! And my location on the map is blue, too! This is awesome! Next time I play, Dungeon 5's getting BITCH-SLAPPED!

Gleeock Showdown and the Graveyard Shift

Merry Christmas, guys! Hope you all got some epic stuff, I got about 3 books, "V for Vendetta", a Death Note bag and Monster Hunter Tri (among other things)! I'm using the controller I got with MHT to play today, and I've decided that now I have a decent amount of health I'm going to get to a Fairy Fountain to heal and go STRAIGHT to Gleeock! I'm also on my PC again today so I'll upload some screenies too!

From the start, it's only a few screens up and left until avoiding Moblins to get to the Fairy Fountain. She heals all 8 of my hearts and I'm off!

Narrowly avoiding monsters, I quickley realise this conroller's not working out. It's great for MHT but the controls are just too weird for this game. OUT WITH IT. Now inside the dungeon, I've got to make my way to the end without losing much health (any at all, if I'm lucky, and I get to use my Sword Beam on Gleeock).

I lost 1.5 hearts from the FUCKING BBBs, but the Splitting Slimes in the next room gave me 1 back, so I'm still good. I REALLY hate the BBBs, which is why since I learnt their real name I refuse to dignify them with the curtesy of using it. Rooms like these:

make me want to throw my Wiimote at the screen. Luckily I can sometimes evade them long enough to get through the room without taking damage, but other times... not so well. This next room was so-so, I lost 1 heart from them.

It was at this point that my Wii fucked up and I lost my progress and all the screenshots I've taken. Yes, I had to restart and now you can't have any visual representation of my quest. Just read the post back again whilst wathing a "Let's Play" and I'll start again once you're done.

...

Done? Cool. So now, just after that room, the Old Man room and the Trap Room, I'm in the last room before Gleeock. I'm also at 1/2 hearts, so my Potion has to be used. Ah, that's better. Now I'm full health with a shitload of BBBs jumping around. BOMBS! Use them! Dead! Okay...

Here we go. 8 Hearts. Sword Beam. Gleeock, however many hits it takes to kill him. 1 Potion left. Let's go.

ATTAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! Instantly run, dodge fire, attack like shitter. Head blinks, run, avoid, repeat!!
...
Good in theory. Bad in practice. He attacks too often, I can't get in to attack without getting hit for like an entire heart per fireball. I'M ALREADY ON ONE HEART! Potion... Attack... THE FIRST NECK DIES! Now the head's floating around. IGNORE IT! KEEP HITTING! KEEP HITTING! KEEEEEEP HIIIIIIIIITTIIIIII-IT DIED! FUCK YEAH! Extra heart in the corner, grab it, get the single Rupie it gives me (stingy bastard) and enter the final room!

The Fourth Piece of the Triforce is mine! Heroicly I lift it into the air as my 9 Hearts are filled with life, Snake Dungeon falls apart around me and music plays epicly. THE TRIFORCE IS HALFWAY COMPLETED!

And there we go. Snake Dungeon, Dungeon Four, Completed! Now I have to go to Dungeon 5 (which from my mass exploration session revealed is in the Mountains, near the Trap screen and Warp #2. I've looked over the 'hints' I've been given over the course so far and there's two that I still haven't solved:

"EASTMOST PENINSULA IS THE SECRET" and "MEET THE OLD MAN AT THE GRAVE". There's obviously some interesting things to the East (where I explored) but from what I found, nothing worth a hint about. It could be the extra 2 hearts or maybe the weird Dungeon in the top corner of my map. The Grave one is definitely something about the graveyard to the West, but I don't know anything about what could be there. Now I have some more hearts I think I'll take the warp and search around there.

So, back at the Starting Screen and to the East, I've warped to the Mountains and in the Graveyard. It's annoying, though, every time I touch a Gravestone ghosts come out. And they're REALLY hard to kill. Well, the Old Man is obviously dead, so here we go. LET'S GO GRAVEROBBING! Touch a stone, push the stone... okay that doesn't work. BUT MAYBE IT WILL! I'mma push all of them... okay, it's not working. I got to about the second row and gave up about halfway through.

BUT NOW MY OCD IS KICKING IN. I MUST PUSH ALL OF THEM. Off the screen, back on, push a stone, keep going until the ghosts fill the scr-HOLD IT. This one isn't making a ghost. IT'S NOT MAKING A GHOST. IT'S SPECIAL. I push it from another side... IT OPENED! GRAVEROBBING TIME! Old man inside. Okay, so I won't be stealing anything. Well, there's the hint deciphered. AND HE'S GOT ANOTHER SWORD! "MASTER USING IT AND YOU CAN HAVE THIS". FUCK YEAH! FUCK NO! I can't pick it up. WHY IS THIS NOT WORKING!? I got so worked up with joy about it...

Okay, so I'm leaving off for today, the Doctor Who special starts in half an hour and we've got dinner to eat. I will leave with these three things, though:

  • Suck it, Gleeock,
  • Fuck the BBBs, and
  • WHY CAN'T I GET THE SWORD?

Adventures in the Mountains

Anyway, my brother got an AV to USB connector (whatever it's called) so now I can play my Wii in the loungeroom without having to set up shit because I'm viewing/hearing it on my PC! There's some audio lag, but who cares. I wanted to record it and post it up here, but when I try to record instead of simply view, the WHOLE THING lags and it becomes unplayable. Pity. I'll take some screenshots, though!

Okay, so I'm beginning my trek into the Mountains.
I made it there (crossing the narrow river flowing into Hylia) and climbed the stairs, but instead of going West, where my target was, I went East to see if I could bomb the end of the arrow. I couldn't. I then died once I went west by an alarming number of Sword Dragons. Argh.
Trying again, I decided to dodge and run away like a little girl when confronted with the beasts, but when I went as far West as I could, I found a dead end. A dead end with my target, a cave, however, inside which an Old Woman sells Potions (useful, considering I HAVE TWO ALREADY).
It didn't take long for me to die after that.

So now I aim to get to those long lines of Statues (and a nearby cave). Crossing the river EARLIER than before, I can easily get to them and now comes the difficult part.
There are some flying hats, so I have to kill them first to avoid unwanted hurting. I have some bombs to spare, too, so I can kill some statues without worrying. I killed all but 1 hat, but accidentally awaken a statue. Now it's running around at light speed, so I run inside the cave. It's another bloody store, and guess what it's selling. A shield for 130, bombs for 20, and an arrow for 80. Figures.

Outside, I stare the hat down until it stops, then cut it up something good. Now, I can kill every single statue... to reveal nothing. Dayam. NEXT SCREEN! More statues, but no hats. That's good. Now I have to kill them all with swo-WAIT! The store! I FINALLY HAVE A USE FOR THE BOMB STORE!!
8 bombs later, and back to the rows. I bomb the hell out of the first one an-WHAT IS THAT!? There's a red ring!
Wait, no, it's a bracelet. A RED BRACELET! OH MY G-what does it do? I'll be right back, Google is calling.

...

I CAN PUSH STUFF! Apparently around Hyrule there are some tiles that cannot be accessed due to rocks (like bushes, but different). THOSE TILES MEAN SOMETHING! So I view my lovely map to find anything nearby fitting that situa-oh, there's one, about 3 screens from here. PAST A GRAVEYARD. An empty graveyard. Oh. BUT! There's some Red Sword Dragons around the screen with the four rocks. I WHIP MY SWORD BACK AND FORTH!

So, after I die, I have a little rage and calm down. There is, however, another 4-rock cross near the starting screen. AWAY! TO THE EAST! I arrive and find the screen infested with Blue Tektites, but they die easily. I push aside a rock AND FIND A STAIRCASE!
Underground reveals A WARP POINT! YAYNESS! I take one of the paths and end up BACK IN THE MOUNTAINS WHERE I JUST DIED! I try to get back to the warp but I'm quickly killed again.
This IS, however, a step FORWARD. I can now unlock the other Warp Zones by jumping through them. I just need to note down the rules to which staircase goes where...

After some investigationing (and a few lost hearts), I now have a small idea of where to go. I'll upload a quick representation of the warps and their locations/destinations later. For now, I have some other things to do.

Okay, I'm gonna have to lay some bad news onya, peeps. Christmas Day, tomorrow, will NOT have Zelda playing. I'm simply too excited for the awesomeness that are my presents (I've unfortunately reached the age where surprises just cannot happen, people NEED to know what I want). BOXING DAY, HOWEVER, may or may not include adventuring. As Whovians out there would know, the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2010 is happening that day, and there are some pretty epic movies coming out then, too. So until then, this is Sean signing off.

Mass Exploration

OH. MY. GOD. It's been DAAAAAYS since I last played or even POSTED here! My delay is explainable: Christmas. Yeah, that's all I need as an excuse. Christmas shopping, decorating the house, making a full 21-page epic comic about a LARPG for an awesome friend, I've unfortunately let everything else slip. Well, I'm here to apologize, play Zelda and bake cake. AND I'M ALL OUT OF FLOUR.

Oh, and my parents' fighting is quelling slightly, even if the occasional fight is about something seemingly insignificant, for those who care. If you do, many thanks. If you don't, it's okay. It just means you're heartless and nobody will ever love you.

So, in accordance with my last post, I'm abandoning Snake Dungeon for a while to scour the land. I'm looking in as many caves as possible and burning bushes on every screen. I explored East, hugging the side of the Ocean and eventually found a cave on what I'm calling a beach. Inside was a shield, bomb and arrow for sale, so no help. Meh, I marked it on the map anyway.

Further North on the beach was a HEART CONTAINER OMG! It was on a platform on the ocean! AND I HAVE A STEPLADDER! Die, MONSTERS! I'm getting MORE HEALTH! HELLS YEAH! Further along, there was a raft taking me to a dungeon! I wanted to check which one it was so I could visit it later, but it turned out it was just an old man. OFFERING ME ANOTHER HEART! Another choice was a Potion, but I've got a feeling I won't get this offering again. SO A HEART IT IS! THAT'S ANOTHER 2 HEARTS I HAVE! (to be honest, I checked back inside the room and sure enough, the old man's gone)

There are still a few more caves (and a dungeon, I'll check that one too) around the north-west of Hyrule, so let's PUSH ON!
One was another shop, stocking a shield, key and Blue Candle (so useless), another was an old man who apparently distrusts the postal service (he gave me a letter to an Old Woman, lucky I know where one is (remember an older post?)), and the Dungeon was... actually a Money Making Game (I lost 10 Rupies, then gained 20). Also, does anyone remember the Trap screen I complained about? I tried again, taking the advice of the old man I met a while back and just kept going up. After about 5 times, it worked! I found another Dungeon (turning out to be Number 5)! Marked for later.

So, the nearby forest is about to be examined. There are some suspicious-looking bushes that need to be either burned or bombed. As soon as I enter the forest, there's some Moblins and statues. The Moblins die and one of the statues reveals a staircase! Inside, a Moblin utters another famous phrase:
"IT'S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY." Then he gives me 30 Rupies! YAY MOBLIN! A bit deeper into the forest shows 2 lonely statues in a clearing, so there HAS to be something. And sure enough, one reveals another staircase! WITH ANOTHER MOBLIN! 10 Rupies, thank you!

On my map I can see another cave just south of the clearing, and (after fighting more Moblins) it is revealed to be... ANOTHER BLOODY SHOP WITH ANOTHER BLOODY SHIELD, KEY AND CANDLE. URGH I'm sick of them useless shops. I HAVE A SPARE KEY ANYWAY. There's one last bush I think should be burnt, a singular one blocking a single-tile 'corridoor' at it's mouth. I MUST INVESTIGATE. Sure enough, it burns down and reveals... 0.0 DUNGEON EIGHT. WHAT THE HELL. I MEAN AWESOME. BUT STILL. LOL! I found the eighth dungeon, supposedly one of the best-hidden dungeons in the game, looking for friendly Moblins. It's like that awkward moment in parody clips when a money collector stumbles upon a huge conspiracy that's totally irrelevant to the story (which he then ignores completely moments later).

"WELCOME TO THE EIGTH DUNGEON, MORTAL! YOU SHALL FACE UNIMAGI-"
"Hi, are you friendly?"
"... WHAT?"
"Can I have some money?"
"... HOW DID YOU FIND THIS PLACE?"
"Oh, I'm looking for Moblins willing to donate to the Help Link Not Die Foundation!"
"... AND YOU LOOKED UNDER THAT PARTICULAR BUSH WHY?"
"It looked pretty conspicuous, blocking that tiny path like that."
"OH. WELL, THEN... YOU HERE TO FACE THE BOSS?"
"Nah, I'm good. Can I have some money?"

And after that long haul, I died. By an octopus. On land. Well, fuck. Meh, 2 Hearts, a Hidden Dungeon, a total of 50 Rupies and a bunch of 'secret' caves revealed to be shitty shops. And some old man gave me a letter. NOT BAD WITH ONE LIFE, BI-ATCH! I wish Gleeock was this easy to kill...

Please excuse me, I have to take a shower.

...

Okay, I'm back. Now I have two choices: One, go back to Snake Dungeon and try again, or, OR, explore the West in a similar fashion as the last 6 or so paragraphs. Hmm... I found some nifty things last time I explored, and I'm not in the mood for Gleeock again (my sword is puny). MAYBE I'll find something COOL, like another sword, or more money, OR MORE HEARTS! I'm convinced! EXPLORATION TIME!

On my way West, I came across the cave with the Old Woman inside. Remembering my Super Special Letter, I hand it over... NOW SHE SELLS POTIONS! HELLZ YEAH! I knew there was some way to get them! Okay, I can either buy 1 for 40 or 2 for 68... that's a decent deal, 12 Rupies off, so I get the Red one. NOW I CAN GET HEALTH! Although I know there's a Fairy Fountain somewhere here, so I won't have to use the Potion until I face Gleeock again.

I travel west many screens, ending up in what appears to be a Corner of the World (that's what I'm calling them now) with another cave. Inside is another Advice Lady, offering advice. I pay her 10 Rupies and the bitch tells me it isn't enough. BUT TAKES IT ANYWAY! Where's the Bitch-Slap button? Screw her, there's a graveyard to the North. Investigating, however, I find myself in a trap. Oh dear. I can only go east, leaving the trap. Looking at my map, I could go AROUND the whole way, it would take a while but I'd get there. There's also another Dungeon there, which I'd like to check out (maybe it's 6 or 7, the only 2 dungeons I need to uncover (I don't count 9 as a Dungeon, more of an Epic)).

Alas, this is a story for another day. On the path, I see many Statues. I also see that the only way I can get there is by crossing the River that flows from the Waterfall to Lake Hylia, and even an unexplored Cave. Someone told me online that the huge number of Statues is important, but the more interesting thing is that I was complaining about the lack of Warp rooms I've found. THIS MEANS THE SECRET IS THERE! I can find the secret, I know I can!

And that's all for today. Lay-taz!

Gleeock, the Unstoppable

Okay guys, I'm gonna have to unload on you. My parents are splitting up (my brother and I were told ages ago, we're all okay) and my mum keeps complaining about my father and all his flaws (he has a shitload, I have to agree with her). We had a REALLY long talk this morning (me and mum) about it all, and now I'm pretty much convinced it's all my dad's fault. My problem with it is this: I feel totally and despicably evil to be thinking such things about my own dad. We never had the best relationship, but now that we've come this far and arrived where we are now, I just feel like a total douchebag about it.

Sorry about posting such depressing stuff on a supposedly funny (hopefully) blog, but I just need to say it and I wanted to keep LoaW clean from things like this. Besides, this is supposed to contain info on how my life is being affected by the game, right? Hold on, I need to think of a way that it is... um... OOH! My mum says that parents who don't live with the children must pay maintenance if they don't have a paying job and that if my dad doesn't pay then I have to live with him. My father continuously tells me to get a job and to STOP PLAYING VIDEO GAMES ALL DAY which would ensure that no matter what the situation he wouldn't have to pay! My mum says she won't force me to do anything in my life, even get a job, and that she hopes that me staying with my dad will make him crack in less than a week and start paying so that she gets me (and my brother, I guess) back! HA! The conflict between my parents is now linked to The Legend of Zelda! Now lets get killed by Gleeock again!

On my way to Snake Dungeon, an unlucky Octorok gave me a fairy, and I never lost any health on my way there. So now I have full health to get to the boss! Lovely! I'm trying the same tactic as last time, avoid EVERYTHING and use the Candle or Arrows to kill those I can't avoid (also I have my Sword Beam back!). On my way I got hit by a two bats, so I was left with 5 hearts, which is pretty damn lucky. GLEEOCK AWAITS! I'm going to try bombing the necks, which seemed to be the only things that could be damaged last time. I enter and immediately run away from the fireballs, bombing the necks... NOTHING! FUCK! I ended up standing in one spot swording the necks, which eventually caused one head to fall off and move around the room, while the other ATE MY FACE. Dead, I get ready totry again. But FUCK the bombs.

Here's where I stand. This bitch of a dragon CAN'T be hurt with:

  • Arrows,
  • Bombs, or
  • the Boomerang (doesn't damage anyway).

It can't be hurt on it's:

  • Heads, or its
  • Body

So, as far as I can tell, the only way I can kill it is to attack it's NECKS with my SWORD. Nothing else useful can be said. WAIT! FIRE! I'MMA TRY THE CANDLE!! After I die a few more times trying to get to the boss... AND... nothing. So yeah, only the sword, only the neck. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

So I'm getting a little angry at this game. There were potions in the other games, dammit! Well, there are potions in THIS game too, but I don't know how to get them. Help, anyone? Comment any hints on ways to get potions, where the next dungeon could be, extra heart containers, anything. Maybe next time I'll roam Hyrule, searching the caves around the land for shops and things. Also to get money. I do need some money. Hey, if I get enough, I could get the Blue Ring in the Waterfall and have a better chance against Gleeock! Sorry I can't play for longer, but I've got other things to do. I'm making a full-sized replica of Marluxia's scythe for a possible cosplay next year!
